My bolo tie cord is starting to bend and curl. How do I fix this?
It's perfectly normal for both leather and vegan leather to retain memory, especially during shipment. To fix, slide the bolo's pendant all the way down to the tips and allow to hang freely overnight.
To prevent this problem from reoccurring, I recommend hanging your bolo from a coat hook or laying it down on a flat surface after each use.
You may also lightly mist the leather with distilled water- DO NOT DRENCH IT! Then you can gently form it with your fingers, give a few light pulls, slide the pendant down to the tips, and allow to hang freely over night.
**If you pull too hard, the cord will stretch and become longer. Please be aware of this and how it may affect sizing!**
How do I know what length of cord is right for me?
It’s really your preference! But most people prefer the cord ends to reach about 3 inches below the base of the sternum or breastbone (this includes the tips attached). For example, people under 6 feet tall with an average build usually need cords of 36-40 inches in length and taller individuals or those with larger body builds usually need cords that are 42-46 inches in length.
